Overview:
The Introduction to Advantage 2E course introduces you to the basic concepts and components of the Advantage 2E product, and shows you how to use the product to develop applications.

All staff who will be involved in developing applications using Advantage 2E.

By the end of the course, you will be able to:

· Understand the nature of the Advantage 2E Model.
· Decide when to use the basic Advantage 2E Relations.
· Specify and generate Advantage 2E Access paths based on Advantage 2E Files.
· Document elements of the Advantage 2E Model.
· Create OS/400 Physical and Logical files from Advantage 2E Access Paths
· Understand the components that make up a Advantage 2E function
· Understand how to use and implement Advantage 2E functions:
· Database access function types
· Device function types
· Message function types
· Basic Reporting functions
· Built-in functions
· Function Options
· Function parameters
· Add processing to a Function's Action Diagram.
· Create OS/400 programs from Advantage 2E functions.
· Use the Advantage 2E shipped files.
· Understand Function Structure charts.
· Use the pre-defined function fields.
