Introduction

The RPG IV Programming language has evolved since its introduction in 1995 at OS/400 V3R1. The pace of enhancement shows no sign of slowing down, an indication of the commitment IBM has for the language.

But are you able to keep up ? The recent enhancements at V7R1 and V7R2 may seem bewildering, but in truth RPG IV now provides programmers with a consistent syntax that is both powerful and easier to code.

Pre-requisites

A working knowledge of RPGLE programming techniques pre V7.1 ( If still coding with fixed format methods, then attend the Crossover to Modern RPGLE course). Aimed at RPG developers already using modern coding methods, looking to code Completely Free RPG and use other features introduced since V7.1.
